RCM Examinations Centre

Euromusic Centre is proud to be associated with the Royal Conservatory of Music to provide our impressive and spacious facility as the venue for their spring, summer and winter RCM examinations in the City of Markham every year.

Designated as the official Markham RCM examinations centre (Code 151), our scale of operation and facility allows us to provide RCM examiners and students the professional environment and fine musical equipment needed for practical and theory examinations.

Equipped with both upright and grand pianos in all classrooms and a Petrof 7' 9" concert piano in our grand recital hall, Euromusic has become one of the most sought after exam centres for all levels of RCM examinations including ARCT, Performer and Teachers Exam.  The maximum capacity of the recital hall seats 110 people,  is the most ideal hall for piano teachers' student recitals near and far.

CODA Registration Form - Click here

In response to requests from many members of our teaching community, and following three rounds of encouraging trial runs, RCM Examinations is very pleased to introduce you to new, optional practical examination format.

This new examination, which we have dubbed CODA, is a discussion with the Examiner immediately following the practical examination. CODA is an opportunity for you and your candidates and parents to ask questions and receive positive, third-party advice from the Examiner.

Using the registration form provided below, Preparatory to Grade 4 piano candidates can register for an extra 15 minutes at the end of their practical examinations. Space is limited, therefore registration is offered on a first come, first served basis. The candidate's parents or guardian, and most definitely you, their teacher, are strongly encouraged to participate in the CODA.

CODA is entering its fourth trial stage and is being offered during the Winter 2010 Session at two locations in Canada: Calgary SW, Alberta, and Markham, Ontario. Both the practical examination and the CODA will be scheduled on Saturday, January 30th, 2010. Candidates who take the CODA will be rescheduled from their currently scheduled date and time.

To register, or for more information about the CODA, please call our offices at 905-501-9553 and ask for Jonathan Holtby at extension 231.

If you choose to participate in the CODA and would like to give us your feedback about the value or future direction of this examination, we would appreciate hearing from you. We will send out a questionnaire to all participants after the Winter Session to obtain their input.

Thank you for taking time to read about this new examination offering. We hope that the new CODA will be a positive and enriching experience for your students.
